THE ROOKIE—Nathan Fillion’s cop show The Rookie will try to fill a huge hole in ABC’s Tuesday night line up this fall. The network is putting the show in the troubled 10 p.m. slot.

ABC has struggled in the spot since it gave Body of Proof the boot in 2013. The network has tried a number of fixes, including a Castle-esque clone Forever in the 2014-2015. Other fixes included putting Marvel’s Agents of Shield and most recently The Gospel of Kevin.

The Rookie has the chops to fill the hole—but will two-hours of comedy be a good lead-in? That’s the unknown factor.
