Amazon has given Stana Katic’s series Absentia a formal season three pickup. Katic had previously let the cat out of the bag a few months back around the time of the season two premiere in the U.S.
Amazon has not officially announced it has renewed the Stana Katic series, and nothing came out of Amazon’s summer 019 TCA panel about the series’ future on the streaming channel.
Stana Katic’s thriller series Absentia will premiere on Amazon Prime Friday, June 14th in the United States. It will also launch abroad on the streaming service at the same time.
There is no word on when Abenstia‘s second season will premiere. They are currently filming in and around Sophia, Bulgaria. Amazon typically likes to film the episodes and get them through post-production and ready to air before actually launching them on their Prime service. Amazon has its own time table as to when it launches its show
