Stana Katic’s thriller series Absentia will premiere on Amazon Prime Friday, June 14th in the United States. It will also launch abroad on the streaming service at the same time.

Like the first season, all ten episodes are expected to drop at the same time—making a binge-worthy weekend.

Absentia‘s second season picks up where the first season left off with Emily Byrne(Katic) rebuilding her life after being declared dead and later rescued. In the new season, she enlists the help of Boston Police Detective Tommy Gibbs (Angel Bonanni) to unravel her mysterious past. But she returns to the FBI after a terror attack.

Also returning for the second season is Patrick Heusinger, Neil Jackson, Cara Theobold, Patrick MacAuley and Paul Freeman. Joining the cast are Natasha Little as FBI Agent Julianne Gunnarsen and Matthew Le Nevez as former Navy SEAL Carl Isaac.

Absentia is produced by Sony Pictures Television. Stana Katic also serves as an executive producer on the series.

  1. So far after seeing the first 5 episodes of season two I prefer the writing of season 1. Season 2 is hard to follow not much is explained at least not yet.
