Donations to local medical centers

Several TV shows (ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC) have raided their sets and prop departments to make donations to local hospitals and first responders on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19. That include’s ABC’s The Rookie. Alexi Hawley, series creator, EP, and showrunner, went through the show’s hospital set to donate gloves and masks UCLA Medical Center. The’s art department also donated items to another hospital.

The show has wrapped for the season by the time California started implementing its social distancing rules.

Other shows donating items include: Station 19 which donated items to the fire department, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Good Doctor also donated items.

As for other shows: One Chicago (Med, Fire, and P.D.) also donated items as did New Amsterdam and The Resident.

All production for TV and movies is shutdown across the world because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you have not heard, there is a severe shortage of masks, gowns, and other equipment hospitals and other first responders need to treat patients. Check your local TV and newspaper websites for stories about how people are donating their time to create these items by hand or through technology.
