Stana Katic in talks to return to TV in Sony’s “Absentia”

Stana Katic could make a return to TV screens soon. According to, Katic is in talks to star in Sony’s new thriller Absentia. The series will be produced for Sony’s international AXN network. Sony Pictures Television is handling the U.S. distribution rights. As of right now, the studio is shopping for a home for the 10-episode series.

Katic is set to play a FBI agent who disappears while hunting for a notorious serial killer. The character is later declared dead only to be found six years later in a cabin in the woods. Her life is further complicated when she learns her husband has remarried and her son is being raised by the new wife.

Absentia is written and produced by Matt Cirulnick and is based on an original pilot by Gaia Violo.
